We are seeking a dedicated individual to join our team as a Veterinary Care Assistant, working on our wards/nights team. This is an exciting opportunity to work as part of our fantastic team. You will collaborate with Veterinary Surgeons and Veterinary Nurses in delivering essential nursing care, supporting the health and well-being of patients within a multidisciplinary referral hospital. This role also involves performing key daily tasks such as administering basic inpatient care, restocking supplies, upholding high hygiene standards, assisting with patient restraint, providing basic massage and physiotherapy techniques, conducting a range of in-house laboratory tests, and helping to maintain ward equipment. More about you While qualifications in Animal Care and prior experience are preferred, substantial experience in animal handling and husbandry will also be considered favourably. Your shift pattern This is a full-time role working 37.5 hours per week, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday night, 6 pm until 6:30 am. One in 5 Saturday nights, but in place of the Wednesday night shift that week.
