We are currently seeking an experienced Maintenance Planning Engineer to join our Engineering team, reporting directly to the Head of MCC.

The Role

As a Maintenance Planning Engineer, you will be responsible for developing, organising, and delivering all maintenance planning functions on site. This includes supporting operational excellence, improving site infrastructure, and ensuring high equipment reliability and efficiency across the plant. You will ensure full engineering compliance in both mechanical and electrical disciplines, and play a key role in planning and coordinating plant shutdowns in collaboration with the Head of MCC.

Key Responsibilities

* Lead the implementation of maintenance planning processes in line with company standards and the HTC MIP handbook.

* Act as key user for the site’s maintenance management system (SAP-PM), ensuring technical documentation and master data are up to date.

* Plan and monitor engineering compliance activities across mechanical and electrical systems to meet statutory and internal standards.

* Develop and manage predictive and preventive maintenance plans, including FMEA analysis and PM checklists.

* Coordinate and support plant shutdown planning, working closely with the Head of MCC to ensure safe, efficient, and timely execution.

* Collaborate on maintenance budgets, investment plans, and root cause failure analysis (RCFA).

* Drive lean spare parts management, and update technical files including drawings and procedures.

* Identify and address performance issues using SAP-PM, proposing technical and strategic solutions.

* Support in evaluating maintenance service offers and strategic spare part investments.

About You

We’re looking for someone with a strong engineering background, ideally with:

* City & Guilds or NVQ Level 3 in a mechanical discipline

* ONC or HNC qualifications (preferred)

* At least 5 years’ experience in an engineering department within the cement industry

* Experience in maintenance planning, SAP-PM, and continuous improvement methods
