POSITION SUMMARY:
As Director, Business Development for Market Access Healthcare Consulting, you will be responsible for generating new business leads and managing the opportunity lifecycle. You will be part of a dynamic, cross-functional team interacting with multiple sales teams within Cencora. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in Pharma, Consulting, or healthcare, with the ability to understand key drivers of purchasing decisions and to position Market Access, HEOR, and Consulting services to grow our business. Experience in market access, RWE, HEOR, payer marketing, or health economics is essential.

You should be a strategic thinker capable of mapping and testing strategies, with the flexibility to recalibrate as you deepen your understanding of opportunities. This role requires a scientific and business background, strong executive presence with pharma and biotech C-suite executives, and the ability to influence across functional boundaries. You must be a self-starter capable of generating opportunities and cultivating relationships independently.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Engage with external customers to drive revenue growth for our Market Access and Healthcare Consulting teams.
* Maintain a strong understanding of our products/services, business positioning, and competition.
* Strategically source and craft solutions for prospective clients.
* Develop and maintain a pipeline of potential clients, establishing relationships and meeting with them.
* Lead the sales process from lead generation to closing deals.
* Collaborate with consultants to explore customer needs and expand offerings.
* Research industry trends and create new business opportunities.
* Gather customer feedback to inform our Market Access, HEOR, and Consulting offerings.
* Attend trade shows and networking events to build relationships.
Experience and Educational Requirements:
* Minimum of 10 years in Healthcare, pharmaceutical, insurance, or biotech industries.
* At least 5-7 years in sales, business development, or marketing, including account management.
* Bachelor's Degree in healthcare or business; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
* Experience in pharmaceutical market access, health economics, and related fields.
* Proven success in growing revenues and customer base.
* Familiarity with healthcare portals and CRMs like Salesforce.
Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:
* Excellent interpersonal and professional skills.
* Experience leading sales teams in pharma outsourcing preferred.
* Proactive, creative, and articulate with strong communication skills.
* Proficiency in MS Office applications.

Salary Range*
$121,000 - $186,230, based on location and experience.
