This site is the 2nd globally most profitably and you will be running a site of 75 personnel.
Key Responsibilities
* Plan, organize, direct, and run optimum day-to-day operations of the plant.
* Increase production, assets capacity, and flexibility while minimizing unnecessary costs and maintaining current quality standards.
* Allocate resources effectively and fully utilize assets to produce optimal results.
* Monitor operations and trigger corrective actions when needed.
* Share a trusting relationship with the workforce and manage and develop plant staff.
* Collect and analyse production and performance data to drive improvements.
* Implement strategies in alignment with strategic initiatives and provide a clear sense of direction and focus.
* Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and labour regulations.
* Stay up to date with the latest production management best practices and concepts.
Qualifications:
* Proven experience as a production manager or in a similar managerial role within a manufacturing environment.
* Strong knowledge of business and management principles (budgeting, strategic planning, resource allocation, and human resources).
* Familiarity with industry-standard equipment and technical expertise.
* Excellent communication and leadership skills.
* Strong decision-making and problem-solving abilities.
* Experience in the last 5 years dealing with unions is essential ( at least participate in meetings
)
