What we're looking for:
We seek a confident, personable individual passionate about hospitality! You should enjoy working with people, possess natural leadership skills, and ideally have supervisory experience in hospitality. You must be eager to learn, capable of acquiring new skills quickly, and confident in guest interactions, resolving queries efficiently, and coaching team members.
A day in the life of:
The Meeting and Events Supervisor will manage shifts, including cash/till handling, addressing escalated guest or team concerns, and directing during service. Responsibilities include supporting recruitment, onboarding, training, and fostering a positive team culture. The role involves resolving guest queries, handling complaints, and performing administrative tasks. You may also be trained as a multi-skilled hotel duty manager to carry out shift management duties as needed.
Your proactive approach will help drive revenue by promoting products and services, upselling drinks and packages, and building strong relationships with regular clients. Excellent communication skills are essential.
Key responsibilities:
* Prepare rooms for meetings, conferences, or events.
* Liaise with the sales team to ensure client requirements are met.
* Coach and mentor team members.
* Recruit and onboard new staff.
* Assist with weekly rota planning.
* Handle cash and card transactions.
* Act as a brand and hotel ambassador.
* Lead and run shifts, including pre-shift briefs and task delegation.
* Manage escalated customer complaints professionally.
* Support stock ordering, control, and rotation.
* Perform Food and Beverage service duties.
