We are looking for an Electronics Engineer to join our busy Engineering team, based in Glasgow, to support a diverse range of projects for subsystem and missions.
The purpose of the role is primarily to develop new electronics subsystems within the Electronics Design team. The engineer in this role will also be involved, in conjunction with colleagues from other teams, in the definition, development, and verification of bespoke satellite electrical architectures.
This opportunity is ideal for someone who is proactive, technically minded and looking to act as a link amongst the Electronics Design team and Production team. The role will be heavily involved in generating manufacturing data packs and test procedures, ensuring delivery of projects/products to cost, schedule, and quality requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver work tasks and assignments in accordance to required standards, quality, budget and timescales
* Design of bespoke PCBs to deliver both analogue and digital spacecraft subsystems.
* Contribute to product maintenance of the company’s existing catalogue of off-the-shelf products.Definition of bespoke Satellite electrical architectures, in collaboration with other Engineering team members.
* Generation of manufacturing data packs for flight hardware (BOMs, schematics, PCB layout, manufacturing instructions, inspection drawings, etc.) and generation of test procedures.
* Generation of non-conformance reports (NCRs) and Engineering Change Notes (ECNs).
* Guiding the Test team on how to test, debug and troubleshoot existing and new product designs. Occasionally provide direct hands-on support to these testing and debug activities.
* Support the Project Manager with the customer/contract requirements to resolve any conflicts
* Contribute to proposals and securing new projects in partnership with Business Development
Skills required:
* A relevant Higher National Diploma (HND) or equivalent in experience
* Industry experience of experience of designing and/or testing electronic circuits.
* Evidence of using laboratory test equipment (power supplies, oscilloscope, electronic loads, etc) and resolving technical issues
* Proven knowledge and experience using schematic capture and PCB design software.
* Strong communication, stakeholder management and interpersonal skills
* Ability to organise self and prioritise workload with multiple projects in dynamic environment with tight deadlines
* Competent IT skills including Microsoft software
* Proficient in English, both verbally and written
* BSc / BEng degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering
* Experience with Altium or Cadence OrCAD Capture software for Schematic Capture and PCB Layout design
* Knowledge of Non-Conformance processes and Engineering Change Notes.
* Knowledge of Microcontrollers, ADCs, DC/DC converters, LDOs, etc.
* Knowledge of FPGA design using VHDL
* Previous experience within the space industry
* Previous experience in working with small/medium sized company
