Backed by state-of-the-art 10,000 Sqft infrastructure and a deep commitment to Halal integrity, sustainability, and excellence, we are scaling our national footprint. Now, we’re ready for the next phase of growth and we’re looking for the right leader to drive it.

We’re seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Manager to lead and execute our strategic growth across wholesale, online, and franchising verticals.

This is a key leadership role with the opportunity to shape the future of Halal meat distribution across the UK.


Responsibilities

* Expand wholesale partnerships with restaurants, butchers, caterers, and food producers across the UK.
* Lead the nationwide growth of Spice Village Halal Meat’s online delivery platform, enhancing logistics, reach, and customer experience.
* Launch and scale Spice Village Halal Meat franchise model, from identifying ideal locations to onboarding franchise partners.
* Operations & Procurement
o Collaborate with procurement, logistics, and supply chain teams to ensure operational efficiency and reliable delivery.
o Build and maintain relationships with suppliers and distributors to ensure high-quality, cost-effective sourcing.
o Develop and implement inventory control and distribution strategies to optimize space, labour, and cost.
o Analyse sales figures, market trends, and customer data to inform marketing campaigns and product development.
o Approve payment terms, set pricing strategies, manage stock flow, and authorise discounting frameworks.
o Ensure effective merchandising, advertising, and product quality management.
o Manage key customer accounts, address service queries, and maintain a high standard of customer satisfaction.
o Recruit, train, and lead high performing staff while staying informed about market competitors and industry trends.
o Ensure secure premises, sound financial record-keeping, and regular stock inspections for product integrity.


Qualifications

* Proven experience in business development or sales within the meat industry, or related sectors such as FMCG, foodservice, or retail franchising.
* A strong network and working knowledge of the HORECA sector.
* Excellent communication, negotiation, and strategic planning skills.
* Deep understanding and passion for Halal ethics, sustainability, and innovation.
