This role is ideal for graduates or aspiring teachers seeking school-based experience before progressing into teacher training, SEND, pastoral roles, or educational psychology.
As a Cover Supervisor, you will:
* Supervise lessons in the absence of the regular classroom teacher, using pre-set work.
* Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies, maintaining a calm and productive learning environment.
* Support students with their learning and ensure they stay on task.
* Provide feedback to teaching staff on student engagement and progress.
* Gain hands-on experience across a variety of subjects and year groups.
This position offers a valuable introduction to classroom management and school life. Full training is provided, with access to CPD opportunities and support from experienced education professionals.
We’re looking for individuals who are:
* Confident, proactive, and passionate about working with young people.
* Strong communicators who can engage and motivate students.
* Professional, organised, and reliable with a flexible attitude.
* Eager to gain experience and take on new challenges.
Desirable (but not essential):
* Previous experience working or volunteering with children or young people.
* A degree or relevant qualification.
* GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths.
