Communications and Engagement Officer - 31828
The Environment Agency is recruiting a Communications and Engagement Officer for the Thames Major Projects Hub. You will support high-profile flood risk management schemes and work with internal and external partners to manage reputation and deliver engagement and communications tasks.
Responsibilities
* Be an important member of the team during an exciting period for high-profile flood risk management schemes.
* Support project teams with a wide range of communications, engagement and project tasks.
* Build and maintain good working relationships with internal and external partners and customers to help manage our reputation.
* Deliver high-quality communications materials and turn engagement vision into reality, ensuring project work is communicated to a wide range of stakeholders in a timely and professional way.
* Act as a self-starter with a flexible attitude, use initiative to find better ways of working, and ensure tasks are performed efficiently and effectively.
* Demonstrate strong organisational skills and the ability to manage time and prioritise tasks to meet deadlines.
Experience/Skills Required
* Positive, proactive and hard-working attitude.
* Highly organised, flexible, and able to deliver quickly in a fast-paced environment.
* Strong customer service skills and ability to work in a diverse, dispersed team.
* Experience engaging and communicating with a range of internal and external stakeholders.
* Good writing skills and experience producing internal and external materials (minutes, responses to enquiries, briefings, newsletters, presentations, factsheets).
* Strong IT skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
* Experience and enjoyment of using digital media, including social media.
Contract and Working Arrangements
