A welcoming primary school in Banstead is looking for a dedicated Year 6 Teacher to provide long-term cover. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced teacher, or a confident ECT, who’s keen to guide pupils through their final year of primary school and prepare them for the transition to secondary.
You’ll be leading a motivated Year 6 class, delivering inspiring lessons across the curriculum, supporting SATs preparation, and working closely with colleagues to ensure pupils achieve their very best.
⭐ What We’re Looking For
* A qualified teacher with UK QTS (or equivalent)
* Experience teaching at Key Stage 2, ideally Year 6
* Strong classroom management and the ability to motivate pupils
* Confidence in preparing pupils for SATs and secondary transition
* A teacher who can adapt quickly, follow planning, and contribute to the wider school community
* Enthusiasm, reliability, and a genuine passion for teaching
Key Responsibilities
* Full responsibility for a Year 6 class
* Delivering engaging lessons that stretch and inspire pupils
* Preparing pupils for SATs and supporting them to achieve excellent outcomes
* Managing behaviour effectively and in line with school policies
* Working collaboratively with the year group team and SLT
* Taking part in planning meetings, assessments, and whole-school activities
