We are looking for a Chef to join our Catering Team at The Wells Road Hospital. If you are hardworking, energetic, and passionate about delivering quality, freshly cooked, healthy, and wholesome food to our patients, staff, and visitors, we would love to hear from you.
We have a position available working 6 hours a day, totaling 37.5 hours per week, including weekends and bank holidays. Shifts are between 7:00 am and 6:30 pm; the specific pattern will be discussed at the interview.
Please note that this post does not meet the pay level required for a Skilled Worker visa.
Applicants without NHS experience will typically be placed at the bottom of the pay band in line with Agenda for Change. The salary offered is below the minimum required for sponsorship under a Skilled Worker / Health & Care visa. Therefore, the Trust cannot sponsor for these visas.
Applicants requiring a Skilled Worker Visa can check their eligibility for a Certificate of Sponsorship at https://www.gov.uk/skilled-worker-visa.
The role involves being responsible for providing meals to patients, staff, and visitors by following specific processes and procedures to ensure food quality and safety, in accordance with food hygiene legislation.
Please note that applicants will need to pay for their DBS check, with costs deducted from their salary after appointment. The DBS application costs are £26.40 (standard) or £54.40 (enhanced), and this will be deducted over the first two months of employment. Enrolling in the DBS Update Service is encouraged; an annual fee of £16 applies.
