Job Description:
This position is open to female applicants only, as being female is deemed a genuine occupational qualification under Section 29, Schedule 3 7 (27-7) of the Equality Act 2010. Join us as a Positive Behaviour Support Worker to provide person-centred, strengths-based support to our customer, V, who has complex needs including a moderate learning disability. V enjoys outdoor activities, trips to National Trust sites, singing, and dancing.
Responsibilities include:
1. Helping V overcome barriers to lead a fulfilling life and reach her potential.
2. Recognising her strengths and supporting her at her pace, respecting her dreams and aspirations.
3. Supporting V using the Positive Behavioural Support model to promote independence and social inclusion.
4. Monitoring her mental and physical health, identifying signs of deterioration, and managing risks to her wellbeing.
Ideal candidates will have:
* Experience in a complex care setting and a Level 2 Diploma in Adult Health & Social Care or willingness to work towards it.
* Experience supporting individuals with complex needs or behaviors of distress.
* A patient, calm approach adaptable to V's needs and circumstances.
* Experience in positive risk management.
* Driving license is preferred but not essential.
