The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in driving sales growth and supporting the diversification of industry sectors. A key focus will be expanding the customer base while maintaining strong relationships with existing clients. The Role

Work collaboratively as part of a team to convert leads generated through marketing activities and exhibitions

Proactively chase leads and develop key accounts
*
Build and maintain strong customer relationships
*
Conduct customer site tours to support relationship building
*
Confidently carry out customer visits both on and off-site, including delivering company presentations at a corporate level, completing quality audits, and leading shop floor tours
*
Conduct market research and gather competitor intelligence
*
Negotiate and close sales opportunities
*
Liaise with internal engineering teams to ensure a smooth handover of new business projects
*
Develop a strong understanding of the customer base, with the ability to grow existing accounts and secure new customers
*
Manage and grow accounts with values of up to £2m
*
Communicate effectively with colleagues across all departments to resolve issues and relay customer feedback
*
Demonstrate confidence in customer-facing situations, both positive and challenging
*
Take a proactive approach to achieving sales targets, including customer visits, cold calls, emails, exhibitions, and travel as required
*
Complete sales reporting in line with business requirements
*
Deliver excellent end-to-end account management, from initial enquiry and quotation through to project handover
*
Provide strong after-sales care, including regular customer visits and ongoing telephone contact, with a focus on maximising account potential
