We are looking for a Paediatric Community Bladder and Bowel Nurse Specialist (PCBBNS) to join the Paediatric Community Integrated Nursing Team. The PCBBNS will provide specialised and skilled nursing care for children with continence conditions in the community, working closely with the Modern Matron and Service Manager to ensure a consistent model of paediatric continence provision.
Responsibilities
* Provide evidence‑based nursing care and support to children and young people, and their families, with continence needs and bladder/bowel dysfunction.
* Manage a caseload of children across Mid, South East and South West Essex who require specialist continence nursing care in the community.
* Assess care needs and develop, implement and evaluate programmes of care independently.
* Teach registered and non‑registered nursing staff, educational professionals, parents and carers.
* Provide professional advice and support to colleagues, the Matron and Service Manager.
* Facilitate clinical audit and actively participate in the development of clinical governance for the paediatric continence nursing service.
* Drive innovation and service development within the paediatric continence service.
* Collaborate with other Modern Matrons, Clinical Leads, Specialist Nurses and Service Managers across Essex to deliver evidence‑based practice.
* Facilitate placements of students and oversee their training in integrated targeted services.
