Overview
We are looking for an experienced Production Manager to run our manufacturing facility in Rutland. Reporting to the Managing Director, the role covers engineering and assembly, including production planning. There is a genuine Director level career path for the right person. Leadership experience should cover machining, fabrication, welding, assembly, and coating/spraying.

Salary and Benefits
* BASIC SALARY: Up to £55,000 dependent on relevant experience
* No shifts: Monday - Friday
* 24 Days Holiday (rises with service) & 8 Bank Holidays

Job Description
We are seeking a Production Manager with production experience in engineering, industrial, or machinery manufacturing environments. The role will involve low-volume production, including prototyping, with approximately 50% of machinery/equipment manufactured for stock and 50% bespoke or client-specific re-engineering. You will be responsible for production planning and will be supported by three shop floor Supervisors who oversee different areas. You will lead the weekly production meeting with Team Leaders and report to Managers and Senior Managers, including the Managing Director.
Responsibilities
* Ensure the successful production and despatch of products to customers
* Oversee production planning and procurement to ensure materials are available when needed
* Review WIP and close WIP jobs fully upon completion
* Manage production time sheets to maintain accuracy
* Support Supervisors to resolve production issues and lead shop floor teams
* Develop and lead the production facility, applying continuous improvement with hands-on management where needed
Requirements
* Proven work experience as a Production Manager, Controller, Coordinator, or similar in an engineered, industrial, or machinery manufacturing environment
* Background in machinery or equipment production; preference given to Automotive, Special Purpose Machinery, Vehicles, or Industrial sectors
* Commercially minded with a focus on customer needs and the impact of the production department on the business
