The Loc Pod is expanding We're currently hiring for
1. Studio Assistant
This is a position suited for a confident stylist early in their loc journey with strong technical and fast learning skills.You must be confident in washing and basic hairdressing knowledge as you will be fully trained and confident in the following:
* Retwists (gel-based and dry method)
* Interlocking (starter & maintenance)
* Instant Loc Method (crocheting full heads, repairs, and starter locs)
This role also includes team support, shift supervision, and upholding service standards in line with The Loc Pod brand.
Full training in advanced techniques to The Loc Pod standards will be provided.
Responsibilities
As a Studio Assistant, you'll be growing into your role while delivering exceptional service with support and ongoing training. You'll be expected to:
* Perform loc services: retwists, interlocking, two-strand twists, barrels, comb coils, and loc extensions.
* Provide wash and conditioning treatments (hydration, detox, clarifying).
•Assist clients with a professional and friendly approach.
* Process payments securely and accurately.
* Create and upload before-and-after content for the studio's marketing.
* Maintain cleanliness, safety, and professionalism in the studio.
You'll have the flexibility to grow within your schedule and your skillset, while being guided by experienced stylists and supervisors who want to see you thrive.
