About the Role:
Albany Beck is seeking an experienced AI Programme Manager to lead the design, delivery and governance of AI initiatives across a large London-based law firm. This role will be instrumental in shaping and executing the firm’s AI strategy, ensuring alignment with business objectives, regulatory requirements and client expectations. The successful candidate will bring proven expertise in AI strategy and programme management, the ability to influence senior stakeholders and a strong understanding of AI technologies relevant to the legal sector. Experience working within an Azure-based technology stack will be highly beneficial, as the firm’s infrastructure and AI tooling are underpinned by Microsoft’s cloud ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop, own and implement the firm-wide AI strategy, reporting directly to the CTO & Head of Legal Technology.
* Define, map and govern AI strategies with clear processes for delivery and adoption.
* Manage programme delivery from assessment through to execution and governance.
* Demonstrate agility and resilience in adapting programme strategies in response to changing priorities or challenges.
* Engage and influence senior stakeholders, including partners and executives, to drive cultural buy-in and adoption.
* Monitor AI trends, conduct competitor analysis, and translate insights into tangible business value.
* Ensure alignment with regulatory and compliance requirements relevant to AI adoption in the legal industry.
Candidate Profile:
* Proven track record of leading AI strategy and programme delivery within complex organisations.
* Strong experience in programme management with a focus on emerging technologies.
* Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to inform, influence, and collaborate at partner/executive level.
* Awareness of and exposure to AI tools and technologies relevant to the legal sector.
* Strong analytical, strategic, and problem-solving skills with the ability to pivot strategies where needed.
* Clear communication skills and the ability to translate technical concepts into business outcomes.
