Solid Structures North West Ltd are looking for a Construction Supervisor to join their expanding team in the centre of St Helens.
This is a full-time position, working 40 hours over 5 days, with a reasonable degree of flexibility as the working schedule requires.
Key duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
* Oversee daily site operations to ensure works progress safely, efficiently, and to programme.
* Coordinate trades and subcontractors to maintain workflow and meet deadlines.
* Maintain health and safety compliance through inspections, supervision, and adherence to regulations.
* Monitor quality standards, ensuring work meets drawings, specifications, and company expectations.
* Liaise with clients and stakeholders, providing updates and resolving on-site issues.
* Support planning and logistics, including scheduling, material deliveries, and labour management.
* Maintain site documentation, including progress reports, site records, and variation tracking.
What skills and qualities are we looking for?
* Proven experience in residential/domestic construction.
* Strong knowledge of building methods and trades.
* Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
* Excellent leadership and communication skills.
* Strong problem‑solving ability and decision‑making skills.
* Good organisational and time‑management abilities.
* Working knowledge of health and safety legislation.
* Proactive and self‑motivated.

* NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Construction or related trade (desirable).
* SMSTS or SSSTS certification (preferred).
* First Aid at Work certification (preferred).
* Valid driving licence.
