Job Overview

Career Opportunity – Senior Administration Officer (Sheffield, S9 4WG)

Eximex UK Ltd is seeking to recruit a Senior Administration Officer to join our Sheffield offices (off the Parkway, near Sheffield City Centre, S9 4WG). This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in guiding the company through its next stages of development.

This is a full-time role (40 hours per week), Monday to Friday, 8:30am–5:00pm, with a 30-minute lunch break.

Benefits

* Salary: £27,000 per annum
* 20 days holiday plus bank holidays (rising to 25 after 3 years' service)

Experience

* Ideally some logistics and previous invoicing knowledge would help, but not essential (training will be provided)
* Basic knowledge of invoicing and accounting system input
* Competence with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook (advantageous)
* Knowledge of commerce or e-commerce would be beneficial

Key Responsibilities

* Process incoming customer orders and arrange booking slots
* Liaise with customers regarding orders, deliveries, and stock levels
* Interact with customers, hauliers, and warehouses by phone and email
* Assist the sales manager with competitive pricing strategies
* Maintain and organise digital documents and filing systems
* Support the wider team with day-to-day administration tasks
* Apply diligence, problem-solving, and attention to detail in all activities
* Contribute additional skills that may benefit the business

Skills and Attributes

* Strong administrative and organisational skills
* Self-motivated, proactive, and willing to take initiative
* Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
* Flexible mindset: able to follow processes while applying judgement
* Desire to learn more about business operations and competitive trading
* Understanding of profit margins and pricing (desirable but not essential)
* Knowledge of Selling Principles (advantageous but not essential)

We are ideally looking for candidates with 10–20 years of administrative experience, particularly in logistics or commercial settings.
