Interaction Recruitment are recruiting for an experienced Assistant Branch Manager from a builders merchant background to join their busy client on a full-time permanent basis.
Salary: £36k to £38k per annum (DOE)
This role involves:
1. supporting the Branch Manager in the day-to-day running of the branch
2. acting as Branch Manager in their absence
3. providing knowledgeable, friendly and dependable service to customers
4. optimising branch sales and profit
5. working closely with the team to ensure customer expectations are exceeded
6. building strong relationships with customers to understand their requirements
7. ensuring the correct products are supplied in line with customer needs
8. identifying sales opportunities and offering advice and solutions
9. liaising with suppliers, other branches and departments where necessary
10. ensuring sales paperwork is processed accurately in line with company policy
11. maintaining a clean, tidy and well merchandised branch environment
12. supporting stock-taking and placing orders with suppliers
13. contacting customers where required
14. ensuring compliance with company procedures and Health & Safety guidelines
15. supporting colleagues to ensure the branch operates efficiently and effectively
To be considered for this role you must have / be:
16. previous experience within a builders merchant
17. management or supervisory experience within a branch environment
18. strong customer service skills
19. commercially aware with the ability to drive sales and profit
20. organised with good attention to detail
21. confident leading a team in the Branch Manager’s absence
22. computer literate
23. a strong team player
24. knowledge of building materials / construction supplies
