A vacancy has arisen for a Sergeant (People Ops – People Specialist) to serve as Admin Support (SNCO HR) RAuxAF Band at The Band of The Royal Auxiliary Air Force, RAF Cranwell on Full Time Reserve Service (Limited Commitment) Terms and Conditions of Service (TCoS), with an initial proposed start date of 24 August 2026 (or earlier/later, subject to candidate status). This post is responsible to OC (Director of Music) RAuxAF Band for the effective and efficient administration / HR Ops delivery and mobilisation of Reserve Musician personnel iaw relevant RAuxAF / HR Pillar policy. Specific responsibilities include : Responsible to the OC (Director of Music) and Band Sergeant for the administrative support for all PTVR musicians. As SNCO HR you will be responsible for all administrative functions of the RAuxAF Band, liaising with HQ RAF Music Services and external agencies as required. Management, mobilisation, and demobilisation of reservists. As an integral member of the RAuxAF Band, the post holder will be expected to work some weekends and participate in other Band training events and engagements as necessary. Process pay on Reservist Attendance-based Pay System (RAPS in line with submitted and authorised workforce requests (WFR). Raise and staff all RAuxAF Band part-time volunteer reserve (PTVR) appraisals Track reserve support days (RSD) and bounty qualification on F7301 Manage RAuxAF Band Teams site keeping all staff up to date with policy changes, announcements and notices Manage RAuxAF Band SharePoint site ensuring compliance with Data Protection principles Maintain accurate records of all pay and processes on management registers Deputy building custodian Local Security Officer / Expert User
