Experience
Essential criteria
1. Extensive knowledge of the mechanical and/or plumbing systems in NHS premises.
2. In depth knowledge of all relevant legislation and technical guidance.
3. In depth knowledge of all relevant Health Technical Memorandum’s
4. Significant experience working in a complex engineering/building environment.
Qualifications
Essential criteria
5. HNC in Building services plus specialist training and experience to graduate level, or equivalent gained through a relevant apprenticeship plus additional specialist knowledge and experience gained through specialist training, short courses and C.P.D.
6. Authorised/Responsible and/or Competent Person in one or more of the following specialism’s:- LV Electrical Systems HV Electrical Systems Heating and Ventilation Systems Decontamination Safe Water Systems Medical Gas Pipeline Systems (MGPS) Confined Spaces
Technical Skills Competencies
Essential criteria
7. Skilled in maintenance, fault finding, test & repair work on a very wide range of complex engineering services & equipment, with the ability to work unassisted in varying, often technical environments whilst complying with Health & Safety/ environmental regulations and standards.

8. Participate in outside of normal hour’s on-call rota.
9. Full U.K driving licence.
