Graduate Fire Engineer – April 2026 (Manchester)
Join SOCOTEC UK & Ireland as a Graduate Fire Engineer and start a career that blends fire safety, engineering and project management. You’ll work within our Building & Real Estate Division, supporting a team of experts on a variety of projects, both autonomously and collaboratively. This role is ideal for a recent graduate with a recognised fire safety engineering qualification eager to develop specialised skills and contribute to our mission of delivering world‑class services.
Responsibilities
* Develop design and construction fire safety strategies.
* Prepare fire safety assessments for external walls.
* Produce technical engineering analyses such as CFD modelling, structural fire engineering, and other relevant assessments.
* Carry out site visits when required.
* Provide fire safety advice to clients and internal stakeholders.
* Write fee proposal letters.
* Liaise with clients on a regular basis.
Qualifications
* Bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering (mechanical, structural, civil, or a similar field).
* Involvement with a professional body.
* Positive attitude and excellent communication skills.
