The Role:
The marketing lead for the public sector will be at the forefront of public affairs and campaign strategies, engaging with government entities and industry bodies to create initiatives that raise awareness.
Key Responsibilities Include:
* Public Relations and Thought Leadership: Develop content and execute PR strategies in the public sector.
* Public Affairs Engagement: Lead campaigns and collaborate with teams to maximise lobbying efforts.
* Campaign Strategy: Design communication strategies for government engagement.
* Policy Support and Advocacy: Monitor legislative developments and support policy submissions.
* Media and Government: Manage press inquiries and secure media coverage.
* Copywriting: Produce content for blogs, newsletters, speeches, and reports, maintaining consistent brand voice.
Requirements:
* Experience: At least 5 years in public affairs, with proven ability to lead marketing efforts in the public sector, preferably within telecoms, infrastructure, or regulated industries (client-side experience preferred).
* Stakeholder Management: Experience managing relationships with government, industry stakeholders, and media.
* Strategic Thinking: Ability to drive strategic initiatives and detailed campaigns.
* Project Management: Strong organisational skills to handle complex projects.
* Qualifications: Degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or related field preferred.
