Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Café Manager to oversee the daily operations of our café. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and hospitality, along with strong leadership skills to manage a dynamic team. Responsibilities
* Manage all aspects of café operations, including staff supervision, inventory management, and customer service.
* Oversee food preparation and cooking processes to ensure quality and adherence to food safety standards.
* Train and mentor staff in culinary techniques, customer service, and café policies.
* Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen and dining areas in compliance with health regulations.
* Develop menus that reflect seasonal ingredients and customer preferences while managing food production efficiently.
* Foster a positive team environment through effective communication and team management strategies.
* Handle customer inquiries and feedback to enhance the overall dining experience.
* Collaborate with suppliers to ensure the best quality ingredients are sourced for the café.
Skills
* Proven experience in food preparation and cooking, with a strong understanding of culinary techniques.
* Previous supervisory or management experience in a restaurant or café setting is essential.
* Excellent team management skills, with the ability to lead by example and motivate staff.
* Strong background in hospitality, ensuring exceptional service delivery at all times.
* Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in food production.
* Experience in kitchen operations, including inventory control and equipment maintenance.
* Familiarity with barista skills is advantageous, enhancing the café's beverage offerings.
