Job Overview
We are looking for a skilled and motivated Mechanical Fitter to join our growing team. This is a varied, hands-on role that involves working on a wide range of machinery and equipment across multiple sectors.
You will be involved in the installation, maintenance, and repair of systems both in-house and on customer sites. The ideal candidate will be mechanically strong, adaptable, and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities
* Assist with the installation of new machinery and equipment
* Perform planned maintenance and servicing of systems
* Respond to breakdowns and carry out necessary repairs
* Interpret technical drawings and produce sketches where required during site visits
* Ensure compliance with all health and safety procedures and PPE requirements
* Maintain a clean, safe, and organised work environment
Essential Skills & Experience
* ONC or full apprenticeship in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent)
* Broad mechanical engineering knowledge
* Experience using hand and power tools
* Proven ability to work both independently and as part of a team
* Full UK driving licence
What We Offer
* Overtime Opportunities (Evenings & Weekend) at Overtime Rates:
* Weekdays and Saturdays at 1.5x hourly rate

Working Hours
* Standard 40-hour week (08:00-16:00)
* Overtime regularly available and expected depending on workload
* Working hours and start times may vary depending on project requirements
* Flexibility required due to the reactive nature of our services
* Occasional night work, weekend work, and overnight stays are expected

Must be able to reliably commute to Tredegar
