Your Role:
As the Residential Deputy Manager, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Registered Manager to ensure our home meets its Statement of Purpose and delivers high-quality care. Your responsibilities will include:
* Supporting the Registered Manager in maintaining high standards of care.
* Ensuring effective team communication and adherence to policies.
* Overseeing care quality, staff training, and development.
* Ensuring compliance with safeguarding, health & safety, and regulatory standards.
* Monitoring the condition and safety of the home and its furnishings.
* Assisting with budgeting and accurate record-keeping.
* Promoting equality, diversity, and child protection.
* Leading on quality assurance and continuous service improvement.
* Providing effective team leadership and supervision.
* Maintaining confidentiality at all times.
* Supporting new staff through their induction process.
About You:
* Understanding of the challenges faced by young people in care.
* Level 3 Residential Childcare (or equivalent).
* Excellent communication and listening skills.
* A willingness to learn and collaborate within a small team.
* Ability to complete an enhanced DBS check (paid for by us).
* Experience in EBD, social care, residential work, or youth work is advantageous.
* Full, clean UK driving licence and the ability to support other homes when needed.
