An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and motivated Band 7 Paediatric Neurology Clinical Nurse Specialist to join the team at The Royal London Hospital.
The successful candidate will work closely with Paediatric Neurology consultants and Neurology/Epilepsy clinical nurse specialists to deliver high‑quality, compassionate care across both inpatient and outpatient pathways.
Responsibilities
* Assist in continued development of the paediatric neurology service.
* Work in close conjunction with consultant Paediatric Neurologists and the paediatric Neurology Clinical Nurse Specialist.
* Collaborate with Senior CAG management team to develop the strategic plan for the Paediatric Neurology service, incorporating continuous quality improvement programmes.
* Ensure the aims and objectives of the Paediatric Neurology service are delivered and implemented to continually improve the standard of care, including compliance with national guidance.
* Provide advice, support and training to staff caring for this specialist group within Barts Health and act as a resource for members of the MDT.
* Provide advice and support to children and their families, acting as a clinical advocate throughout the patient journey.
Qualifications
* Clinical experience caring for patients with Neurology conditions, including brain injury.
* Strong understanding of the complex physical, cognitive, and emotional challenges associated with neurological conditions.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, particularly in supporting families during periods of distress and uncertainty.
* A proactive, organised approach to managing a caseload and contributing to service development.
