Airline Operations Safety Support Lead

As an Airline Operations Safety Support (AOSS) Lead, you will be part of Boeing’s Global Aerospace Safety program. You will be responsible for all facets of AOSS customer engagement planning and execution. You will lead a team of aviation professionals on location to evaluate customer flight operations across the globe.
This is a customer-facing position, and you will have direct interaction with customer airline leadership while on location. This position requires extensive travel (approximately 40%), mostly to international locations. Hiring details:
1. This requisition is for a locally hired position in Crawley, UK. Benefits and pay are determined at the local level and are not part of Boeing U.S. based payroll.
2. This is not an active flying position.
3. This position is hybrid. This means that the selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options. This is at the hiring team’s discretion and could potentially change in the future.
Position Responsibilities:
4. Leads evaluation teams to partner with customer airlines to examine flight operations
5. Observes customer operations and reviews recommendations on flight operations and procedures; provides technical information to clarify and apply Boeing flight procedures to customer operations
6. Participates in flight and simulator observations
7. Assists in development and application of company safety initiatives, strategies that are used in support of continuous accident reduction
8. Leads the development, reviews, validation, and standardization of flight-related materials, technical bulletins and procedures; leads coordination with others regarding changes affecting flight operations and safety
9. Participates in flight deck design and test to develop, validate and ensure adherence to flight crew procedures and operating techniques
10. Supports activities to obtain aircraft certification
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
11. Previous airline flight operations experience
12. EASA/CAA certification, or Military Equivalent. Either active or expired is acceptable
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
13. Training department experience
14. Safety department experience
