A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Risk Engineer experience to join the team with our prestigious client BAE Systems at their site in Barrow In Furness, this role will be hybrid, 2 days per fortnight onsite but there maybe some travel to Bristol or Derby. Job Description Prepare monthly risk reporting for leadership meetings including the risk input to the Programme Balanced Scorecard Establish and manage relationships with strategic and programme level risk owners to ensure robust and effective reporting processes and outputs is achieved Liaising with Strategic Risk Owners, to maintain and update the status of the Risk register, including updates to mitigation actions/Risk responses. Responsibilities: Maintain register of SSNR strategic risks including managing configuration control of a consolidated set of SSNR enterprise, integration and delivery risks ('single source of truth') Maintain and develop measures and metrics for JPMO risk reporting, covering strategic and IP-level risks Prepare monthly risk report for JPMO, PIR and PSB including the risk input to Balanced Scorecard Arrange and manage and follow-up [monthly] face-to-face working sessions and [weekly] catch-ups with IP risk managers Work with SDA and IPs to meet expectations in relation to schedule and cost risk analysis Carry out independent assurance reviews of IPs' implementation of their risk processes Assessing the impact to the risk position of updates to the baseline Support Risk JMPO Risk & Opportunity Manager working with strategic risk owners to put in place strategies to address and/or mitigate risks as appropriate Support JMPO Risk & Opportunity Manager in updating the Joint Risk and Opportunity Management Plan, and other pre-FOC maturity actions Develop / customise tools and techniques (e.g. appropriate use of 'bow tie') to support outcome-based approach to strategic risks Prepare monthly risk reporting for leadership meetings including the risk input to the Programme Balanced Scorecard Establish and manage relationships with strategic and programme level risk owners to ensure robust and effective reporting processes and outputs is achieved Liaising with Strategic Risk Owners, to maintain and update the status of the Risk register, including updates to mitigation actions/Risk responses. Liaise with the various risk owners. This could engineer leads/programme leads. Tasks could include - What new risk actions need to be raised, any new strategic risks? We don’t currently use a specific software, so Microsoft Office experience is essential. ARM experience is desirable rather than essential Knowledge: Most importantly we need someone who can engage and communicate with senior leadership teams. Strong Communication & Collaboration skills with the ability to report back to the team. Skills Experience of working in a project/control but ideally risk environment for 2 years, it would be favourable. Would be working on multi-billion-pound projects so must be able to deal with a fast-paced environment. Defence sector experience is desirable but not essential. Recognising the RESTRICTED nature of the work, suitable candidates will be SC cleared or eligible for this level of clearance
