As part of our Sales team, you will help keep the business growing by preparing all event documentation, coordinating operational details, and supporting sales efforts to ensure a consistent, high‑quality experience from planning through post‑event. Your expertise will help maximize revenue, elevate customer satisfaction, and ensure our guests return time after time for events that exceed expectations.
What You’ll Do
Event Planning & Coordination
* Prepare all event documentation and coordinate with Sales, hotel departments, and customers to ensure consistent, high‑level service throughout all phases of events.
* Act as liaison between Sales and the customer throughout the full event lifecycle (pre‑event, event, post‑event).
* Lead pre‑event and post‑event meetings for assigned groups.
* Identify operational challenges and collaborate with staff and customers to develop solutions.
* Manage group room blocks and meeting space allocations.
* Recognize opportunities to upsell enhancements and services to maximize revenue and elevate event experiences.
* Manage customer budgets to balance revenue goals with client needs.
* Support and act on behalf of the Hotel Sales Leader/General Manager regarding events in their absence.
Operational & Administrative Excellence
* Check figures, reconciliations, postings, and documents for accuracy.
* Organise, secure, and maintain files, financial records, and event documentation.
* Classify and summarise financial data using journals, ledgers, and spreadsheets.
* Prepare, review, reconcile, and issue customer bills, invoices, and event statements.
* Adhere to all standards, policies, and procedures, including event, financial, and operational SOPs.
* Celebrate team success and recognise contributions.
* Maintain confidentiality and protect guest and associate information.
Customer Service & Experience
* Greet customers during events and ensure smooth hand‑off to Event Operations.
* Interact with guests to gather feedback on product quality and service levels.
* Handle guest problems, complaints, and requests with professionalism.
* Follow up with customers post‑event to ensure satisfaction and identify future opportunities.
* Strive to continuously improve service delivery and guest satisfaction.
Team Development & Leadership
* Identify training opportunities and strategise to accomplish development goals.
* Support the development, mentoring, and coaching of associates.
* Assist with interviewing and hiring hourly associates.
* Provide constructive coaching, manage conflict effectively, and promote a productive work environment.
* Utilise Labor Management Systems for scheduling and attendance tracking.
* Ensure adherence to EEO and AA policies.

Candidate profile
Education & Experience
* High school diploma or GED; 2 years of experience in event management or a related professional area
* OR 2‑year degree in Hospitality, Hotel & Restaurant Management, Business Administration, or related major; 1 year of relevant experience
