CK Group are recruiting for a Senior Software Engineer to join a company in the pharmaceutical industry, on a contract basis for 12 months.
Salary: £26.52 - £34.60 per hour PAYE.
Senior Software Engineer Role:
1. Be a hands-on technologist spending significant time coding across all parts of the Atom5 platform.
2. Work in an agile manner, developing features according to sprint priorities.
3. Collaborate with the team, sharing ideas, reviewing code, mentoring, and guiding team members on technology architecture and implementation.
4. Stay updated with industry trends, embracing new languages, frameworks, containers, and cloud technologies, and continuously learning.
5. Maintain an inquisitive mindset, exploring the inner workings of tools and libraries to understand their functionality.
Your Background:
1. Understanding of best practices in software engineering.
2. Effective communication skills for engaging with stakeholders and team members.
3. Proficiency in at least one programming language such as Java or JavaScript/TypeScript, with a willingness to learn new technologies.
4. Experience with core platform frameworks and libraries like Spring Boot, ReactJS, React Native, Docker.
5. Familiarity with Linux environments.
6. Experience across the full software lifecycle, from ideation and design to implementation and operational support.
7. Ability to write clean, maintainable code, prioritizing simplicity, testing, user experience, and security.
