Location: Midlothian (Dalkeith, Lasswade, Loanhead & Penicuik)
Contract Type: Permanent Full time 36 hours (Day and Night shifts available)
Pay: £13.45 per hour
21 Health & Social Care are recruiting on behalf of Care Support Scotland for dedicated and compassionate Support Workers to join their Homelessness Services across Midlothian.
This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful difference by supporting individuals experiencing homelessness to achieve stability, independence and improved wellbeing.
The Role
As a Support Worker, you will:
1. Deliver high-quality, person-centred support to individuals experiencing homelessness
2. Support service users to develop and sustain independent living skills
3. Assist with day-to-day routines, including budgeting, meal preparation and maintaining accommodation
4. Provide emotional support and encouragement to build confidence and resilience
5. Help individuals access and sustain accommodation, including liaising with landlords and housing services
6. Support with attending appointments (e.g. health, benefits, housing, employment services)
7. Encourage engagement with community resources, education, training or employment opportunities
