Job Description
1. Ensure design and installation projects meet specifications, standards, and regulations.
2. Review consultant designs and calculations for design-and-build projects.
3. Work closely with Project Managers to ensure installations align with design and technical specifications.
4. Provide technical advice to the estimating department on compliance and value engineering.
5. Attend client and internal design team meetings for design-and-build projects.
6. Collaborate with the procurement team to ensure correct product supply and submission of technical documents.
7. Conduct site inspections and oversee the technical aspects of installation.
8. Review and assess new products entering the market.
9. Attend client pre-start meetings to demonstrate technical and professional capabilities.
10. Evaluate quotations and ensure compliance with specifications and drawings.
11. Ensure all statutory and regulatory obligations are met, including submissions to authorities and obtaining approvals.
12. Keep the design team informed of all technical updates throughout the project lifecycle.
13. Review all design information and ensure calculations are prepared and signed off per relevant standards and codes of practice.
14. Represent the company at client, design team, and progress meetings during design and construction phases.
15. Review commissioning reports to verify compliance with design and specifications.
16. Prepare and issue ‘As Installed’ drawings for CAD documentation.
17. Oversee all production aspects of projects within the office.
18. Work accurately, independently, and efficiently while taking full ownership of assigned projects.
Requirements
* Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (or equivalent qualification).
* Experience within Building Services Engineering.
* Understanding of RIBA stages and project lifecycle.
* Strong knowledge of design standards, codes of practice, and compliance requirements.
* Excellent communication and coordination skills.
* Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Requirements
Proven hands-on experience working specifically on petrol station forecourts is required. Experience with installing and maintaining ACO drainage systems, manhole interceptors, and concrete finishes is necessary. A strong understanding of forecourt-specific health and safety requirements is needed, showing familiarity with safety protocols on petrol forecourts. Experience working in demanding site conditions, including physically challenging environments and traveling/staying away as part of the job. Experience using industry-relevant certifications or tickets such as a valid UK PIA (Petroleum Industry Association) Passport and digger/excavator tickets is desirable but not essential. General experience in civil groundworks and concrete finishing is also a plus.
