This 6-month interim position offers the potential to transition into a permanent role for the right person. The business offers hybrid and flexible working arrangements to support worklife balance.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage day-to-day finance operations, including AR/AP, banking, and asset management.
Oversee financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting processes.
Prepare and review monthly management accounts, journals, and reconciliations.
Ensure compliance with HMRC requirements including VAT and Corporation Tax.
Oversee payroll, pensions, and related controls.
Act as the main point of contact for external auditors and tax advisors.
Strengthen and improve financial policies, procedures, and internal controls.
Provide commercial and financial insight to support operational decision-making.
Partner closely with manufacturing and operational teams to drive performance and efficiency.
About You
Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent).
Proven experience as a Financial Controller within a manufacturing environment.
Strong technical accounting knowledge and understanding of cost accounting/manufacturing finance.
Hands-on approach, comfortable managing both operational and strategic finance activities.
Analytical, detail-oriented, and commercially focused.
Excellent communication and leadership skills.
Available to start at short notice.
