Summary:
The Administrative Assistant facilitates the efficient operation of the assigned department by performing a variety of clerical and administrative tasks.
The Campus Health Coordinator fulfills the mission of the Catholic school by assisting with the health needs of students to assist the school in providing the fullest possible educational opportunity for each student by minimizing absence due to illness and creating a climate of health and well-being, consistent with the policies of the Archdiocese and TCCB ED. The Health Coordinator has decision making responsibilities within essential job functions, in keeping with school policies. The position is appointed and evaluated by the principal.
Position Responsibilities:
7. Answers and transfers phone calls, screening when necessary
8. Maintains filing systems as assigned
9. Retrieves information as requested from records, email, minutes, and other related documents; prepares written summaries of data when needed
10. Responds to and resolves administrative inquiries and questions
11. Coordinates and schedules travel, meetings, and appointments
12. Prepares agendas and schedules for meetings
13. Records and distributes minutes or other records for meetings
14. Maintains office supplies and coordinates maintenance of office equipment
15. Adhering to safety training and protocols on a daily basis, and taking precautionary measure to ensure the safety and well-being of self, others.
16. Responsible for protecting the confidentiality of any information or material obtained in the service of the organization to include but not limited to client names and information, services rendered to clients, donors names and gifts, internal and external investigations or results of any investigations, and financial information.
17. Adherence to the Archdiocesan Code of Conduct and the Faith and Morals policy of the Catholic faith is mandatory.

28. Responsible for ensuring that the State required vision, hearing, acanthosis nigricans, and scoliosis screenings for students are performed, maintained, and documented according to state regulations by certified screeners
29. Ensures that students who fail the screening test(s) are given the appropriate referral(s) to be retested, etc. and maintains appropriate documentation in student health record
30. Prepare and submit reports related to school health requirements (i.e., immunization reporting to the State, screenings and TCCB ED annual health services review)
31. Maintains up to date student health records including emergency contact information, student health record, immunization records, and physical exam requirements in accordance with TCCB ED and school policy
32. Provides staff (e.g., classroom teachers, after school care staff and coaches) with any necessary documentation (e.g., action plan(s) and emergency contact information) for students
33. Serves as contact for sick students in order to maintain medication records and monitor exclusion/readmission of students in connection with infectious and contagious diseases in accordance with TCCB ED and school policy
34. Administer medication to students as per written doctor’s order
35. Update medical data for students and staff annually per updated Emergency Medical Forms and TCCB ED and school policy
36. Document all on campus injuries per TCCB ED and school policy
37. Supports school administration in educating the faculty and staff personnel about TCCB ED and OSHA’s policy on Bloodborne Pathogens on an annual basis
38. Supports teachers by providing with first aid information and supplies.
39. Supports administration in field trip first aid kits, which included student emergency medical information and action plan(s)
40. Communicates effectively within the school community
41. Demonstrates professionalism in conduct, demeanor, and work habits
42. Maintains a work schedule that maximizes availability to the school, students and staff
43. Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Minimum Qualifications:
Education:
44. High school Diploma or equivalent
45. Associate’s degree preferred
Experience:
46. At least four (4) years’ experience of working in an administrative role providing direct support
47. Bilingual in Spanish and English
License and Credentials:
48. Reliable transportation
49. Valid driver license
50. Valid vehicle insurance
51. CPR License
Minimum Knowledge and Skills:
52. Experience with computer software and Microsoft Office Applications;
53. Must be detail oriented, organized, self-motivated, work well independently and on a team;
54. Must have good written and verbal skills;
55. Must have good critical thinking and problem solving skills.
56. Knowledge of the basic teachings of the Catholic Church
57. Able to communicate effectively in both written and verbal form
