Interim Head of Finance &ernanceLocation: Devon (hybrid working available)
Contract: Temporary / Interim
Rate: Up to £400 per day (inside or outside IR35 depending on contract)
Start: ASAPAn established organisation in Devon is seeking an experienced Interim Head of Finance &ernance to provide senior financial leadership and ensure robust financial management,pliance, andernance during a period of transition.The RoleReporting to the senior leadership team, you will take responsibility for the organisation’s financial stewardship and provide high-quality financial advice to senior stakeholders. This is a hands-on interim role,bining strategic oversight with operational leadership.
Key responsibilities include:
1. Acting as the lead financial officer, ensuringpliance with relevant legislation and best practice
2. Leading budget preparation, monitoring, and medium-term financial planning
3. Overseeing year-end accounts and liaising with external auditors
4. Ensuring strong financial controls, risk management, andernance arrangements
5. Advising senior leaders on financial strategy, policy, and decision-making
6. Managing and supporting the finance function and associated central services
7. Overseeing payroll, investments, reserves, grants, and contractualmitments
About YouYou will be an experienced senior finance professional, ideally with exposure to the public or not-for-profit sector, who isfortable operating at leadership level in an interim capacity.
You will bring:
8. Significant experience in a senior financial leadership role
9. Strong knowledge of financial regulations,ernance, and audit requirements
10. A relevant professional qualification ( CIPFA, ACCA, CIMA, AAT) or equivalent experience
11. Excellent analytical,munication, and stakeholder-management skills
12. The confidence to act as a trusted adviser to senior leaders and boards
