The Middleton Partnership is excited to be working on a Head of Talent Development role for one of its esteemed financial services clients. Are you an experienced Talent Development leader looking to make a meaningful impact in a dynamic financial services environment? This business is seeking a proactive and innovative professional to drive talent development initiatives that empower their teams and enhance organisational performance. Our client is a global leader in investment management, headquartered in London and with locations globally. As Head of Talent Development, you will lead strategy development, execution of talent management, leadership development as well as learning and development across the globe, ensuring stakeholders have everything they need to grow and succeed. There will also be opportunities to collaborate on employee culture, engagement, and inclusion initiatives. You will work directly with HR leadership team, shaping the talent development strategy and will inspire and manage a small team, as well as collaborating with peers across the HR function, and beyond. What you will be doing? Supporting the design, delivery and continuous improvement of talent programmes. Keeping up to date with trends and offering insights to the People Senior Leadership Team. Partner with the Executive Leadership Team to identify and develop critical talent and ensure succession plans are in place for all roles. Lead on the learning and development provision; establishing learning needs and design of interventions. Align all learning to the company’s competency framework. Promote inclusive learning and accessible communication. Support D&I in developing engagement strategies that support the company culture. Oversee the in-person Global Induction programme and ensure all employees are onboarded effectively. What you’ll bring? Evidence of delivering development programmes in complex and fast paced organisations and linking these to business strategy. Experience of shaping solutions and implementing strategic change. Highly analytical, ability to develop metrics, reports and dashboards. Communication and influencing skills are a must, and an ability to build relationships with stakeholders including the Executive Leadership Team. Strong presentation skills and ability to engage with employees. Ability to drive change and introduce new ways of working. An inspirational manager, with a proven track record of leading a team. A self-starter with excellent attention to detail. It will be a distinct advantage if you’ve worked in the Talent Development space in investment banking, private equity or asset management environments previously. What’s in it for you?
