Salary: £27, - £28, per annum pro rata; £14.22 to £14.47 per hour (Salary Point 22 – 23*)
*whilst this is a scale for progression, the starting salary is point 22

About the Role
SAMH are looking to recruit one part-time DBI (Distress Brief Intervention) Practitioner to provide Level 2 DBI support to Fife residents. The service’s core hours are 10am – 6pm with some weekend working on a rota basis.
DBI is a non-clinical intervention, consisting of two interrelated parts;
Level 1 sees trained front-line staff such as Police, Ambulance and Primary Care staff help ease the person’s distress, provide a compassionate response and where appropriate, involves an offer of a seamless referral, with confidence and clarity to a DBI Level 2 service.
Level 2 is provided by commissioned and trained third sector staff who contact the person within 24-hours of referral and provide community-based problem solving support, wellness and distress management planning, supported connections and signposting for a period up to 14 days.
