*Whilst this is a scale for progression, the starting salary is point 25

About the Role/Secondment
Fife council funds SAMH to deliver the Individual Placement and Support (IPS) Service, supporting people with mental health problems and additional barriers throughout Fife. The SAMH National Employment Team operates high quality services to support people to access and sustain employment, education, training or volunteering goals. The overall aim of the service is to improve employment prospects for people by delivering a holistic employment-focused specialist mental health support service.

What we are looking for
Experience in supporting people to find and sustain employment is critical to this role as is an understanding of mental health problems. The role is hybrid and can be from home or office based depending on the employee’s caseload and the client needs. Access to a car is essential.
You will hav excellent communication and inter-personal skills and be able to demonstrate knowledge and experience in supporting individuals with mental health problems, support planning, and supporting individuals to achieve their goals. Although supporting customers into employment is the ultimate aim of this contract, SAMH’s role as a specialist provider focusses on equipping customers with the skills and confidence to take them closer to the jobs market.
