Key Responsibilities
* Lead day‑to‑day operational delivery across outpatient and theatre services
* Manage and motivate administrative staff within the Business Unit
* Oversee activity to ensure national and local targets, including RTT and Cancer standards, are met
* Monitor and validate waiting lists and Patient Tracker Lists
* Support performance recovery actions where required
* Maintain efficient use of theatre and clinic resources
* Work closely with clinical, administrative and management teams
* Coordinate consultant leave, extra clinics and additional sessions
* Handle patient flow, ensuring smooth movement through clinical areas
* Assist with complaint resolution and incident management
* Contribute to business planning, service reviews and improvement initiatives
* Produce and update Standard Operating Procedures
* Ensure high standards of quality, governance, safety and compliance
* Participate in staffing rotas and ensure appropriate cover at all times
* Build strong working relationships internally and externally
* Support recruitment, induction, performance management and staff development
* Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of Trust policies and service requirements
About You
* Operational management experience, ideally within healthcare
* Strong people‑management background
* Excellent communication, organisation and IT skills
* Confident working with performance targets and complex information
* Proactive, calm, and able to lead in a busy environment
