Overview
Position summary:
Salary: £34,917.16 per annum (inclusive of shift allowance),
Benefits: 23 days holiday (with options to buy/sell holiday), competitive pension scheme, PPE provided, staff discount shop, cycle to work scheme, subsidized canteen, long service rewards.
Working hours: 12-hour continental shifts on a 3/2 pattern, including weekends and bank holidays.

About the job:
Our General Operators work across areas including Packaging, Process, Multipack, and Services. Responsibilities vary from inspection duties, manual handling, automation tasks, to housekeeping. In Packaging & Multipack, you will operate machinery, check quality, and pack products. In Services, you'll support the line with raw materials, quality checks, and waste segregation, including laboratory and warehouse roles.

* Operate and set machinery, ensuring health and safety compliance and standards.
* Identify and rectify machinery issues, understanding their impact.
* Interpret data and communicate machine performance effectively.
* Support colleagues as needed, maintain safety and hygiene standards.
* Escalate issues proactively outside of your remit.
Qualifications:
* Confident communicator, results-focused, positive attitude.
* Team player willing to learn autonomous equipment operation.
* Basic numerical, reading, analytical, and computer skills.
* Organized, methodical, adaptable under pressure.
* Problem-solving skills.
Preferred but not essential: manufacturing experience, technical machinery knowledge.
