About the role
The Isle of Man Prison & Probation Service under the Department of Home Affairs is committed to protecting the community by delivering secure, custodial environments and effective rehabilitation services that enable individuals to change, reduce reoffending, and enhance public safety. We operate with integrity and transparency, treating everyone with dignity and respect while promoting equality and diversity.
Our team is accountable for delivering excellence through continuous improvement and collaboration with partners and the wider community. By fostering inclusion, professionalism, and responsibility, we strive to make a meaningful difference and strengthen community resilience. The Senior Officer role is designed to provide operational flexibility across the establishment. Post holders may be assigned to any area of the prison as required, including but not limited to residential units, security, operations, or administrative functions. Adaptability and a broad understanding of prison operations are essential to perform successfully in varied environments.
