Long-Term Temporary Teacher of Technology
Location: East Yorkshire
Start Date: ASAP (Summer Term availability also considered)
Contract: Long-term temporary, with potential for permanent appointment
Salary: £160 – £230 per day (dependent on experience and qualifications)
Vision for Education are working in partnership with a large, well-regarded secondary academy to recruit a dedicated and enthusiastic Teacher of Technology for a long-term temporary position.
This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated Technology specialist who is passionate about delivering engaging and practical lessons. The role is due to start as soon as possible, however applications from candidates available from the Summer Term are warmly welcomed. While the role is initially offered on a fixed-term temporary basis, there is a strong possibility of a permanent contract for the successful candidate from the next academic year.
The Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching Technology across Key Stages 3 and 4, with subject areas including:
1. Resistant Materials
2. Graphics
3. Construction
You will be joining a supportive and well-resourced department, delivering high-quality lessons that inspire creativity, problem-solving, and technical skill development.
The Ideal Candidate Will:
4. Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification
5. Have experience teaching Technology at secondary level
6. Demonstrate strong classroom management and organisational skills
7. Be committed to raising attainment and fostering a positive learning environment
8. Be flexible, proactive, and able to build positive relationships with pupils and staff
