We are looking for two Senior Operations Managers at Moonpig Tamworth who will be responsible for leading and managing the daily warehouse and fulfillment operations. This role ensures that operations run efficiently, safely, and cost-effectively while meeting performance targets. The Senior Operations Manager plays a key part in driving operational excellence, preparing for peak periods, and delivering results that align with Moonpig's strategic goals.
This role is critical to the success of the Tamworth operations, directly influencing efficiency, safety, and profitability. The Senior Operations Manager ensures the smooth delivery of operations during peak periods and everyday functions, maintaining high standards of customer service and operational excellence.
Main Responsibilities:
* Operational management and coordination
* Peak planning and execution
* Budget planning and cost management
* Project management and continuous improvement
* Staff development, training, and onboarding
* Health & Safety compliance
* Performance monitoring and reporting
Management and Leadership Responsibilities:
* Lead and inspire the operations team to achieve targets and maintain high standards
* Develop leadership skills within the management team, fostering a culture of accountability and growth
* Ensure clear communication and alignment of objectives with team members and stakeholders
Success will be measured by:
* Achievement of operational KPIs related to cost, efficiency, and output
* Successful execution of peak plans with minimal disruption
* Budget compliance and financial efficiency
* Positive feedback from stakeholders and staff
* Continuous improvement outcomes with measurable results
Essential Criteria:
* Proven record in a senior role within operations management
* Strong budget management and cost control experience
* Excellent project management skills, with a focus on process improvement
* Knowledge of Health & Safety regulations and best practices
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage peak operations
Desirable Criteria:
* MBA or similar qualification
* IOSH certification
* Experience in e-commerce or fulfillment for a retail business
* Lean or Six Sigma certification
* Advanced proficiency in warehouse management systems (WMS)
* Previous experience with Moonpig or similar operational environments
