Salary: £31,650 - £49,084 Annually (MPS/UPS, depending on experience)
Contract Type: Full-time / Permanent

Are you a passionate and resilient educator with a commitment to supporting students with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs? GSL Education are seeking a dedicated SEMH Teacher to join a specialist school in Christchurch, starting January 2026.
About the Role:
As an SEMH Teacher, you will play a vital role in delivering tailored education to students who require additional emotional and behavioural support. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a lasting difference in the lives of young learners by helping them overcome barriers to learning and achieve their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:
* Plan and deliver engaging lessons that meet the individual needs of SEMH students.
* Foster a safe, nurturing, and inclusive classroom environment.
* Work collaboratively with support staff, therapists, and families to ensure holistic development.
* Implement behaviour management strategies and promote positive social interactions.
* Monitor and report on student progress, adapting teaching approaches as needed.
Candidate Requirements:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
* Experience working with children or young people with SEMH needs is highly desirable.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
* A compassionate, patient, and adaptable teaching style.
* Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection procedures.
To work with GSL Education as an SEMH Teacher, you should:
* Have the right to work in the UK.
* Have an up-to-date CV with two relevant references from within the last 2 years.
* Have a DBS registered to the update service or be happy to apply for one with GSL Education.
