The End User Device (EUD) Lead will take overall management responsibility for end user devices and desktop support team for Barking, Havering, and Redbridge University Hospitals NHS Trust (BHRUT). They will put in place and lead the improvements for ongoing BAU work and the digital transformation strategy, along with configuring, installing and support for Millenium EPR devices.
This role will lead in the development of an end user device strategy and:
• Day-to-day line management of the End User Device team, technical staff specialising in EUD deployment, configuration and technical hardware support for Trust hardware devices, including for Cerner Millenium EPR.
• Act as the overall owner of the End User Device team function including development of the service plans.
• Resolving challenging and highly complex issues that have been escalated from the Service Desk.
• Provide the highest possible standard of end user device service provision through the effective day to day management of the end user devices and service delivery.
• Ensure all incidents, changes, service requests are managed in accordance with service level agreements.
• Asset management for all Trust’s end user devices and lifecycle.
• Ensure that service delivery standards are achieved.
• Work collaboratively with the Service Delivery, End User Device, Infrastructure leads and engineers, other operational leads, and other colleagues to ensure that service delivery and improvement plans are developed, implemented, and reviewed.

Essential criteria
1. Educated to Masters’ level or equivalent work experience
Desirable criteria
2. Service / project management qualification e.g., ITIL, MSCE, MSC or equivalent; MSP, PRINCE2 or similar
Experience/ Knowledge

3. Specifying and implementing computer hardware and software systems with input from senior managers/clinicians.
4. Experience and support for Cerner Olympus, 724 admin/client viewer and other EPR Devices. Analyse, investigate and resolve complex EUD queries and decisions.
