Overview
Welder[1137828] role at WGM Engineering Ltd. Based in Newbridge on a full-time permanent basis. The overall purpose of the role is to design, join and shape metal to create structures, objects and component parts or repair existing ones.
Responsibilities
* Read and interpret drawings and plans to develop and design welding projects
* Interpret welding procedures, specifications and standards in engineering construction
* Lay out, fit, measure and weld metals to create desired shape or object
* Operate welding equipment
* Use burning equipment
* Manufacture using detailed drawings
* Inspect and test welds for durability as well as meeting specified standards, highlighting any items that do not meet job requirements
* Inspect, examine and test equipment to determine if repairs or new equipment is needed
* Complete reports, RAMS, job sheets in a clear and concise manner
* Detail welding procedures, programmes and work methods
* Liaise with internal and external customers
* Provide updates to Fabrication Supervisor advising of job progress
Requirements
* At least 2-3 years of previous experience within a welding role, ideally within an engineering setting
* Excellent technical skills
* Ability to work as part of a team and also independently
