Social Worker - Duty & Assessment team £36.00 per hour Lancashire 37 hours p/w, hybrid About the role: We are looking for a Children's Social Worker to join a Duty & Assessment team in Lancashire on a temporary basis. As a social worker in a Duty and Assessment role responds to urgent concerns about a child's safety or well-being by conducting child and family assessments, making immediate safety plans, and collaborating with other professionals to ensure the child is protected and linked to appropriate, longer-term support if needed. Key duties include: Carrying out Section 47 and Section 17 enquiries Creating robust care plans Preparing for and participating in formal case reviews Maintaining strong professional relationships with children, families, and partner agencies to deliver effective safeguarding and welfare services. What you need: A degree in Social Work or equivalent Registered with Social Work England At least 3 years PQE direct employment within English Local Authorities Completed relevant post-qualifying training Enhanced DBS check Excellent communication and written skills Why Work with Pertemps Social Care?
