About the Role Lead Senior Authorised Person Full-Time, Permanent Lowestoft area Who are we? The Opportunity We are looking for a 132kV (or above) SAP/Engineer to join the team and ensure that all transmission assets operated and maintained by the company achieve above target and best in class for operational performance, whilst being compliant with legislation. You will be the centre of excellence for the Transmission Asset Management within the business, and will provide support to other areas in pursuit of business objectives. You will execute the Asset Management Plan, provide on call support to all the OFTO O&M contracts, manage OFTO KPIs, and promote a culture that aligns with the company values. Ideally, you will be based around the Lowestoft area. Key Responsibilities As part of an operational team, you will support the on-call rota and be required to attend site during network fault and emergency scenarios. Develop and maintain the O&M aspects of the EDS OFTO Business Management System. Plan the maintenance activity and outages in accordance with EDS business and STC requirements interfacing with Subcontract chain, the OFTO, Generators and NETSO. Manage the lifecycle of the Strategic, Operational and Consumable Spares. Manage the lifecycle of OFTO asset data, drawings and documents to ensure correct and timely delivery of planned preventative and reactive maintenance tasks. Ensure all statutory inspections and testing is carried out in a timely manner such that assets are always with compliance limits Ensure Asset Warranties are maintained by ensuring the O&M requirements are achieved. Define and deliver any commissioning process to ensure all assets are brought back into full operational benefit and that variations to operations & maintenance are correctly implemented when assets are commissioned. Ensure a proactive safety culture and zero tolerance for accidents and self-inflicted incidents at all levels of operations. Ensure that all relevant documentation related to work and produced by the contract, is completed in a timely, comprehensive, and correct manner. Encourage and integrate innovation and cost-effective working methods. Provide support to the OFTO in the event of a major incident. Take responsibility for business performance targets, controls and operating costs, achieving investment plans, managing risk effectively and delivering all agreed outputs, within the agreed economic and safety regulatory framework. Deliver the necessary timely and pertinent reports. Identify, develop, and maintain a positive employee culture through effective communication processes and implementation of HR policies that encourage and reward appropriate behaviours and performance. Develop and grow the OFTO business in line with the business strategic plan. Skills/Experience Essential: Experience of developing and managing operational teams in, preferably, a transmission or distribution context. 400/275/132kV SAP, with the requirement to become authorised under the EDS HV Safety rules. Familiarisation training will be provided for the on-call sites. In depth technical knowledge of Transmission networks particularly the UK, or can demonstrate a high degree of technical competence within their field of experience. High degree of technical knowledge and analytical skills required to deliver world class Transmission Asset Management performance. IT Literate. This role requires a high degree of integrity and a flexible approach to achieving objectives through others and by influencing others. Full UK driving license. Desirable: Experience within a transmission operator environment, preferable in the UK or can demonstrate working within highly regulated, procedure driven controlled environments.
