We are looking for an experienced Mechanical Fitter to join our client. This is a hands-on role working both in the workshop and on customer sites, with strong earning potential and opportunities for development. You will be joining a diverse and supportive team ranging from apprentices to experienced engineers. This Mechanical Fitter role reports to the Machine Shop Supervisor and involves working on the service, repair, and inspection of large precision engineered equipment. Duties include stripping, inspecting, repairing, and rebuilding equipment, carrying out site-based inspections, producing reports, interpreting engineering drawings, and using precision measuring equipment. The role involves both independent work and working as part of a team, with regular travel to customer sites across the UK. This is a Monday to Friday days' based role with overtime available on a voluntary basis, typically at weekends and during peak periods. The Mechanical Fitter role requires regular travel and working away from home. Hotel accommodation is provided where travel exceeds reasonable daily commuting distance.
